Year 2 have been really enjoying creating different balances in gymnastics, using scales to explore the mass of objects and creating algorithms to program the Beebots.

It was lovely to celebrate God’s creation with you.

Y2 have enjoyed their recent PE lessons, exploring different ball skills.

Well done to Year 2 for a wonderful liturgy where you taught us the parable of the sower through drama and explained how it teaches us the importance of listening to God’s word.

What a lot of learning Y2 has done this half term. We are all so proud of your amazing achievements.

Dear Parents,
We hope you are all well and that you have had a good break. Thank you to the children who have brought in their Christmas home learning. Please do send in any photos, so that we can celebrate what the children have done.
The children have had a very exciting first week back- some mysterious clothes turned up in our classrooms. Who could they belong to? Some of the children tried them on but they were gigantic. Could they belong to Mr. Cunningham? No! The BFG? Maybe! or The Smartest Giant in Town ? Yes!

Thank you all for your generous gifts and cards from the whole Year 2 team. We truly appreciate them.

What an amazing week year 2 have had!
On Tuesday they stunned everyone with their singing, acting and speaking in two thought provoking advent liturgies.
Then on Friday they discovered that their teachers were feeling more Grinch-like than festive- Mrs. Okotete ran off with all the Christmas puddings, while Mrs. Sumba escaped with all the Christmas sparkle. In hot pursuit, the children chased them down and reclaimed Christmas- phew!

No wonder they fell asleep on their desks!

What a fun time Y2 have been having with all their learning recently. They have enjoyed lots of practical Maths (multiplication and division) and creating freestanding structures out of spaghetti and marshmallows in DT.
