We have made it! We have completed our first half term at school, and we are ever proud of the children. They have settled into Reception wonderfully, showing enthusiasm, resilience, and a love of learning. The progress they have made in such a short time has been incredible, and it has been a joy to watch their confidence grow each day.

📚 Literacy 📚
This week, we have been looking at The Gruffalo. The children have enjoyed learning and reciting rhymes, as well as writing letters to the mouse describing the Gruffalo using the sounds they have been learning in phonics.

🧮Maths 🧮
In maths, we have been securing our understanding of numbers up to 3. The children have been finding objects in groups of 1, 2 and 3, as well as exploring different ways to represent the number 3 through practical activities and discussion.

✝️RE ✝️
We have continued our learning about the Sacrament of Baptism and discussed why water is used when we are welcomed into God’s family.
