Welcome Back!

We hope that you had a great Christmas and that the children are well-rested. They have come back ready to learn, settled, and full of enthusiasm which is lovely to see.

We are kicking off a topic on Superheroes and a new home learning pyramid has been put in your child’s bag. A copy is below in case it gets lost.

Mile for Maisie

I was incredibly proud of our children, not only for their stamina with running but also for their generosity. As a year group, reception raised £59.12 for the Hampshire air ambulance, and put all of their might into doing laps of the playground in Fridays’s dull weather.

Well dome, Year R!

Advent

Dear Parents,

We are preparing for Christmas in YR and are busily getting ready for the nativity. We are also walking to Sacred Heart for the first time this week. Please ask your children about all of these experiences. Also,  thank you to all who volunteered and came to Staunton with us on Monday!

What a week!

We have had an incredible week at school! We went to pets at home, had visits from some amazing dogs and are preparing for our trip to Staunton!

We have a special mention from Mrs White this week to say that the children have been really working hard to take care of our outside area this week, sweeping and collecting leaves. Well done!

Here’s our final week of nativity preparations and a successful trip tomorrow. Wrap up warm!

We we have had a fabulous time at pets at home. It was great for us to practice our road safety and behaviour in public before we go to Staunton next week. Ask your child what they did at pets at home!

New Home Learning

Below you will find a link to a PDF version of our new home learning pyramid. Please choose activities to do with your child as and when. You can either record these in the home learning adventure book they were given today or on tapestry. Happy home learning!

Nearly Half Term

Thanks to all who attended the Welcome Meeting on Monday. We hope it has made a difference to your understanding of how to support your children with their learning at home.

There is only one more week until half term when your children get a well-deserved break!

Have a great weekend,

The Early Years Team

Welcome Meeting Tomorrow!

Hello all!

We have been waiting until your children are sufficiently settled to have our welcome meeting but the time has come!

We will see you at 3.20 tomorrow in Seahorse Class to give more information and answer any questions you may have.

See you tomorrow,

The Early Years Team

A big first week

Well done everyone, we have survived their first full week of school! I am sure the children are sleeping well and looking forward to next week. We have been up to lots of bits and bobs this week, including visiting the woods, having our photo taken by the news, having our first phonics lessons and having lunch breaks with the older children ok the playground!

Keep accessing tapestry for more info!

Have a great week,

The Early Years Team

Our fab week

Have your children been telling you all about their week?

We have been so busy! We have made shape sandwiches, been to the woods again, had another trip to the library and many more bits and bobs! Log on to tapestry to find out more. We can see you have been enjoying bug club, but if you have any problems logging on to any of the services please contact Miss Moncreaff.

Have a lovely weekend and get a good night’s sleep ready for starting full time on Monday!

Thanks for all your support,

The Early Years Team
