Another busy week flies by in Year 5…
This week the Year 5 children have had a taster of a day in the life of a Year 6 in their transition morning on Monday and all day on Friday.
In topic this week, we deepened our understanding of Egyptian myths. We retold the myth of the story of Osiris, Isis and Seth by creating a comic strip.
In our RE this week we have continued our learning on ‘Sacraments’ by thinking about how can we, as Christians, live our lives according to these interpretations of God’s will?
Finally, we finished our final tennis lesson for this term. The children’s forehand and backhand skills have vastly improved since the beginning of the term and they successfully kept high rally scores between themselves and their partner.
Reminders for next week:
- Homework is set, alongside TT rockstars and SumDog
- Book review is due in on Thursday please
- Children have been given their SORA app logins to enjoy many many books over the summer holidays, including audiobooks which the children are very excited about!
Have a lovely weekend,
Year 5 team
