Friday 16th November, 2018

This week in English we have been writing our persuasive speeches, persuading Marvel to choose our superhero as the greatest ever. In maths, we have been looking at dividing 3 and 4-digit numbers by 1-digit and solving word problems involving division.

Spelling homework went out this week with emphasis on words that use hyphens with prefixes. There will be a test next Friday (23rd), when the homework books should be handed in.

You are welcome to join us for our Years 5 and 6 Mass next Tuesday. If anyone can help with walking the children there and back it would be appreciated.

Another reminder: forms for Fort Nelson need to be returned by Monday ready for Thursday’s visit.

**Please remember Reading Passports must be completed by Wednesday 21st November as the draw for Shrek: The Musical will take place on the 23rd.

This week Marissa Moreton-Pedrosa (5E) received the golden key award for her hard work and ethos to learning. Max Perdu (5E) has his writing displayed on the showstoppers wall. Tyris Asante (5PC) received the golden key award for always having the right attitude towards learning. Eva Ng (5PC) has her writing on the showstopper wall.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Year 5 team
