Week 2 – 10th March 2017

This week the children have been developing their understanding of: squared numbers, cubed numbers and Roman numerals (1-1000). In English, the children have been learning about relative clauses and including these in their non-chronological report.

For homework the children have another 7 spellings from the Year 5/6 list, Mymaths and need to complete a section from the new homework pyramid. This homework is due by next Friday (17th March). Children are more than welcome to bring their homework in early if they have completed it.

This week Lucie Phillips (5E) received the golden leaf award for ‘using the gifts God gave her to preserve and improve her understanding of maths’ and Jessica Woolhead (5E) has her writing displayed on the showstoppers wall. Jeffrey Mamman Mathew (5F) received the golden leaf award for ‘using the gifts God gave him to work hard’. Oscar Knight (5F) has his work on the showstoppers wall too.

Thank you for your generous donations over this week for CAFOD’s Big Fish project! Please see the photographs of both classes final collection.

Please also see the prayer for Lent attached as a link at the bottom of the page.
