After a fantastic summer, Year 5 have got off to an excellent start with their work. Their first writing unit is named ‘Little Freak’ and is about a boy who, on the outside, looks like a monster but on the inside craves to fit in.

The children have been using similes, metaphors and expanded noun phrases to create wanted posters for a curiosity who has escaped the circus! Here are a few examples of their posters, which can also be found on display in our school hall.
