Welcome to Year 5!
The last two weeks have whizzed by with the children settling so well into the new routines and expectations of Year 5. In English, the children have been enjoying reading Letters from the Lighthouse and writing about Little Freak using figurative language. In maths, the children have been fantastic at demonstrating their place value knowledge and rounding skills. In RE, the children have been reflecting on our school’s Mission Statement and what it means to them. In Science, we have really enjoyed experimenting to discover soluble materials. We have also enjoyed learning to play a ukulele in music, symmetric and asymmetric balances in gymnastics and finding out the cause of WW1 and what countries were involved. It has been a very busy few weeks of very successful learning!
Please remember that Home learning is due on Fridays.
Enjoy your weekend!
