This week the children have been interpreting line graphs and matching line graphs to descriptions. In English, they have speculated about some story pictures before the real story was revealed. Then the children have recorded their emotional responses through annotating pictures.

Please continue to work on the spelling lists sent home, using the strategies given. Go over the recent list of spellings that were sent home to ensure they have been learnt correctly.

The children were a credit to St Peter’s during the Mass last week. They demonstrated their knowledge of the Angelus and were very well behaved on the journey to church and back.

This week Madeleine Heard-Laureote (5E) received the golden leaf award for ‘using the gifts God gave her to be a good friend to a person in need’ and Kafui Djokey (5E) has her writing displayed on the showstoppers wall. Molly Perkins (5T) received the golden leaf award for ‘using the gifts God gave her to be kind, caring and always smiling.’ Theo Jackson (5T) has his work on the showstoppers wall too.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Year 5 team
