Reception classes this year, and next!
As September draws to a close, we have a new cohort of pupils who can well and truly consider themselves as full members of the St Peter’s school community. These pupils are, of course, our new Reception Year children who have joined the Early Years Foundation Stage of the school. Beginning with three ‘stay and play’ sessions at the start of the month, followed by a week of half-days up to mid-September, these keen young learners are now full time at the school. To walk round their classrooms is a joy as busy minds and bustling bodies explore all that there is to offer at St Peter’s. School lunches are enjoyed every day, and the largely good weather has ensured plenty of outdoor learning has taken place.

If your child was born between 1st September 2018 and 31st August 2019 they will be eligible to start school in the school year beginning September 2023. All are most welcome. Open Days for prospective parents are being held in autumn 2022 on the following dates:

St Peter’s welcomes Fr James Lewis
It’s been a long 18 months, but finally we were able to celebrate Mass in our school hall with pupils from Years 1 to 6 to mark the start of the new school year. And to add excitement to joy, we welcomed Fr James Lewis to St Peter’s to celebrate his first Mass with the school community.
With prayer, song and praise, Fr James enjoyed a wonderful celebration with our pupils, and promised to bring biscuits for all the staff next time he visits (but not for this many pupils!).
