13th Sunday of Ordinary Time

As followers of Christ how can we welcome Him into our lives? During whole school worship this week children thought about how they can be welcoming in their everyday lives. How can they welcome visitors to their homes? How can they make sure that their friends always feel welcome? Mrs. Osborne explained that if we welcome others into our lives we welcome God at the same time. By being welcoming to others we welcome God.

Lessons in class this week have focussed on sacraments with each year group beginning to think of the relevance of the sacraments in their own lives. Children in Year 2 led a liturgy together on Tuesday and they were joined by many family members and friends. We just have one year group celebration left this academic year which will be the Year 6 Mass followed by cream teas for family and friends. The mass will be held in the school hall on 11th July at 1.30.

Congratulations to all the children who have taken or are taking their First Holy Communion in our local churches. Their photos are proudly displayed at school for all to see, and I know that the children have enjoyed the congratulations given to them during worship time.
