Over the Spring term, year 1 pupils in Puffer Fish and Turtle class will take part in the Hampshire Picture Book Award 2026.  During library time, the children will listen to each of the four stories, chosen by the School Library Service. They will enjoy sharing the imaginative tales and consider how the entertaining illustrations help to enhance their understanding of the story.

During February and March, year 4 pupils in Koala and Kangaroo class will be taking part in the Hampshire Information Book Award 2026.  They will read, explore and review five new non-fiction books, chosen by the School Library Service. The children will consider the layout, content and accuracy of the information in each book and then vote for their favourite.
