CONGRATULATIONS to the Puffer Fish Class, who have borrowed the most library books this year and have been rewarded with an afternoon movie and popcorn, during the final week of the summer term.
Joining Puffer Fish are the Key Stage 2 winners, Hippo Class who have borrowed 1182 books, closely followed by Lions with 1065.
Thank you to everyone who has come into the library to find a quiet place, to browse through story books, non-fiction texts and newspapers and to borrow and regularly return their books.
A special thank you to the excellent junior librarians, who have worked diligently throughout the year to keep the library tidy, arrange displays and exchange books in the classroom book corners.
As the summer holidays begin, please consider joining in with the ‘Marvellous Makers’ Summer Reading Challenge at your local library, as described below. If you complete the challenge, remember to bring your certificate and medal into school, to be awarded a special prize during library time.
Wishing you all a wonderful summer holiday and looking forward to welcoming you back to the library in September.
