I just had to share this fabulous piece of art work with you.  The Bennett boys have been collecting recycled materials  all week in preparation for creating this fantastic castle.  As it is evident to see, Mason, Calum and Harry have taken a great deal of time working on this masterpiece and the result is outstanding!

Living in the castle, in no particular order, are Mummy, Daddy, Mason, Calum, Harry, Nanny & Grandad and Uncle Toby!… all I want to know….”Is there room for me?”

Wow!  Look at this stunning Chinese paper plate create by Ben.  Not only has he used all the right colours and included Chinese writing, but he researched and found out lots of facts about China too. One fact that impressed Ben was that you can see the Great Wall of China from space and he looked at photos to see what it looked liked. Thank you for sharing this Ben and for being the first person in your Year group to have a post on this page!

These two fantastic plates have been created by Connie.  I like them both, but the dragon is particularly awesome! I can see she has put in a great deal of time and effort to these creations and it was well worth it because the result is amazing.  Well done Connie!

Wow! Ishana has created this magnificent Chinese fan, which looks simply stunning.  It looks very authentic and it is something I could use now the weather is getting warmer and sunnier.  I can see you have taken your time and  coloured it carefully. Thank you for sharing this Ishana!

Oh my goodness what a magnificent Chinese fan created by Lola.  It is clearly evident that Lola has been working hard on her home learning for Art this week, and wanted to share this on the post. These photos really bring to life her research, as she created  her own ‘Inspiration Board’ before making her fan.  This is a really impressive approach to your art work Lola – Thank you so much for sharing this with us!

Wow!  Look at this wonderful Chinese plate made by Jovril.  I can see he has put in a great deal of time and effort to this creation and it was well worth it because the result is fantastic. Thank you for sharing this Jovril!

This fabulous Chinese Dragon plate has been created by Fabio.  I love the fire coming from his mouth and his black and red stripes. Well done Fabio and thanks for sharing!

Wow! Teddy and his brother Rohan have been  creating these Chinese plates.  As you can see, Teddy has researched his dragon because you can identify several authentic feature to a real Chinese dragon.  Thank you Teddy and Rohan for sharing them with us.

Wow! Look at this stunning Australian Flag created by Caleb.  He has been working hard all day and finished by having fun making this flag.  Look how carefully he has coloured it in – thank you for sharing this Caleb!

Look at these two Australian beauties, both made from paper plates.  Emma has turned her art skills to do some Aboriginal painting on the first plate and then created a fabulous beach scene for the second one.  I love them both and I can see you have put a great deal of time and effort into them and it was worth it because the results are amazing.  Thank you Emma for all your hard work!

Calin has made this fantastic flag of Australia and as you can see he has been very careful at making sure it is accurate and colouring it in beautifully.  Well done Calin!

Sophie loved creating this Australian Paper Plate and I can see she has used a range of painting techniques.  I really like the way she has used the Aboriginal dots around the edge of the plate and the colourful picture in the centre.

This is Leo’s Australia inspired art. He was very pleased with his boomerang and kangaroo at the bottom and I can see why because they are both fantastic!  Thank you for sharing Leo!

Wow! I’m loving this Australian paper plate by Olivia.  It has been so carefully painted and the kangaroo had been drawn and painted superbly. It must have taken her a long time, but it was worth it, as the end result is fantastic.

Goodness me!  This paper plate created by Conor is magnificent.  He has really thought about incorporating several features of Australia, including the Aboriginal art of using dots and a Koala, which is holding onto a tree trunk.  This must have taken Conor a great deal of time and perseverance, but as you can see from the result, it was worth it. I am loving this Kangaroo paper plate created by Emi.  As you can see she has drawn a perfectly proportioned kangaroo, which is not an easy thing to do.  Thank you for sharing this with us Emi!

These amazing Australian inspired pieces of art have been created by Diyonna and they both look incredible. I love the kangaroo , which is in perfect proportion and also the Aboriginal technique of using dots and dashes to tell a story. Thank you for sharing these Diyonna.

Wow! I absolutely love this African necklace and mask that Eva has created. The necklace has been so carefully painted with a beautiful repeating pattern and the mask looks totally awesome! Well done Eva and thanks for sharing!

Wow!  After making a fabulous mask earlier in the week, Darcy has turned her talents to making this fantastic Kenyan Flag. It’s not so easy to see here, but Darcy has done this ‘mosaic style’ as there are lots of squares that she has cut up and stuck onto the flag.  It must of take her a long time, but it was worth it because the result is outstanding.  Well done Darcy!

This amazing African mask is the work of Maksym and as you can see, it is truly a work of art!  He has really used his artistic flair and a range of materials and techniques.  Well done Maksym, I’m really impressed with your art!

Travis has been busy colouring in this mask using the colours of the India Flag.  Well done Travis!

Wow!  Eva has been busy creating these India inspired pieces of art. They both look totally charming and your patience in colouring them carefully has really paid off.  Thank you so much for sharing these Eva.

Wow!  Look at this fabulous tin foil rocket created by Calum (Year R).  It looks truly stunning and I’m sure he can go on lots of adventures with it!  If you could go anywhere in Calum’s rocket where would you go?

These brother are so artistic and these puppets are truly awesome!  Mason has made a tiger sock puppet and I love the way he has carefully put all the stripes on it.  Calum has made a very colourful parrot puppet.  What a great idea boys, lets hope you inspire others with your creativity!

Look at these stunning ceramics that have been made and painted by Nell (Year 5).  As you can see, she has been really patient to paint these so carefully, as the are so small, but she has done a fantastic job.  Well done Nell!

Wow! Look at this amazing Kenyan Flag made by Junior (Year 2).  As you can see, he has used the Kenyan colours and coloured it really carefully.  I am so impressed by this Junior – thank you so much for sharing!

Hattie has been work so hard to create this sensational Rainforest and Kenyan Flag, both linked to the Africa topic that Year 2 are doing. I absolutely love the way Hattie has included so many animals in the Rainforest…how many can you spot?  Thank you for sharing this Hattie.

Goodness me! Just have a look at this fabulous creations Bella (Year 1) and her sister, Clementine, made this  horse out of a basket, odd socks, coffee cups and paper.  What an imagination you both have – I absolutely adore it!  Thank you girls for being so creative.

This important message of ‘STAY SAFE’ was created by Emma (Year 4).  It is so colourful and eye-catching you can’t help by heed this warning.  Thank you Emma.

Wow! The Bennett brothers have been very busy creating again.  I think these shark pictures are such a great idea…I nearly jumped when I saw the second picture open and the BIG shark’s mouth. Their little brother, Harry, is also showing us one of his favourite books – Alien’s love Underpants…It’s one of my favourite books too!

Mason has also made this awesome Rocket and landing pad, it looks totally fabulous – thank you boys for sharing your creativity with us.

Wow! Look at this simply stunning moonlit sea scene created by Emily (Year 5). I love the way that you can see the way the light from the moon casts a silvery shadow on the water. It is evident that Emily has put a great deal of time and effort into this and the result is amazing.  Thank you for sharing with us Emily.

Rafe (Year 1) has worked hard to create this colourful castle, using lots of shapes. It looks fabulous!

Rafe then went on to create these stunning, bright and colourful  pictures to decorate the front of his house to say thank you to key workers.  What a kind and thoughtful message Rafe – thanks for sharing!

Jacob (Year 6), Aimee (Year 3) and Sofia (Year 1), also wanted to show their appreciation for all the key worker who are helping to keep us safe and well during this time.  I’m sure these displays brighten up the day of anyone who see them.  Thank you for your thoughtfulness in thanking others.

Wow!  Look at this stunning paper plate created by Riya (Year 4) celebrating the USA.  I really like the way she has included lots of features of America, I particularly like how carefully she had drawn the Empire State building.I also like the way she had decorated some of the plate using pointillism and stripes.  Thanking for sharing this with us Riya!

Let’s have a look at what these two brothers, Islwyn (Year 6) and Mostyn (Year 3), have been up to this week.

This is what they wrote: “Together we made a rainbow of hope to go on our porch to cheer people up as they walk past. We also made some rainbow cards that we posted to friends, family and some of the congregation at church to let them know we are thinking if them. ”  What a lovely idea boys… I can imagined you brightened up their day!

Mostyn has also been busy on his own looking at Roman mosaics and creating this  Pokemon pokeball ‘Mosaic style’.

…and not to be outdone Islwyn made a seaside collage from things he had collected at the beach.

Both boys have really shown their creative flair with their artistic creations and I can’t wait to see what they make next!

Wow! Look at this senstational rainbow of hope that Faith (Year 6) and Luke (Year 2) created on a window in their home.  They captured the moment perfectly with the sun peeking through in the background.  Simply stunning!

Wow!  Look at this fantastic art project undertake by Alexander (Year 1).  He has taken his inspiration from the artist Paul Klee’s creation ‘Castle and Sun’.  Alexander has then applied his Math skills, by doing a colour by numbers and his English skills by writing a set of instructions to explain what he did.  This is an exceptional piece of work Alexander – I’m sure you will have inspired other children when they see your post.  Thank you for sharing this with us!

As you can see, Aimee has been practising the macrame skills that her mum taught her last week.  Well it is clear that Aimee listened to her mum’s instructions well and tried really hard because look at this fabulous fish key ring she has made.  Oh my goodness I cannot wait for you to teach me how to do macrame Aimee.   Thanks for sharing!

Felicity has been working very hard over the last tow weeks to create an array of artwork. As well as pictures and habitats, she has made this incredible Native American paper plate . Well done Felicity and thanks for sharing!

How cute is this pair of elephants created by Taylor (Year 1) and her younger brother, Elliott.  I really like the multi-coloured tissue paper they have used to collage the elephants.  They remind me of Elmer, one of my favourite story characters.  Thanks for sharing these Taylor and Elliott!

Wow! Take a look at  Alexander’s art work for around the world with paper plates activity.
The family really enjoyed making paper whales and as you can see the results are truly impressive.

These paper plate penguins have been created by  Caelan ( Year 1) and his sister Phoenix. As you can see, they have put a lot of time and effort into making these adorable penguins and Caelan helped his sister with her colouring. Thank you so much for sharing these paper plate Penguins.

Look at this stunning snow leopard created by Isabella, I love the way she  has carefully added cotton wool to make it look 3D.  Thank you for sharing this with us!

Oh my goodness!  Look at this fabulous paper plate created by Denzel. His mum said it was either the sun of Barry the Fish with Fingers, but I definitely think it’s Barry!  If you haven’t read the book, by Sue Hendra – it really is worth a read.  If you haven’t got the book at home you can check out YouTube for an audible version, with pictures.

This is a truly amazing jellyfish created by Makayla.  I absolutely love it and I can see she has put so much  effort into it. I really like the way she has used the wool as I can imagine this jellyfish floating in the sea.  The jellyfish is called ‘Heart’ but Makayla says, “BE WARNED! WATCH OUT FOR THE TENTACLES BECAUSE THEY STING!”     Fabulous work Makayla – thank you for sharing!

Wow look at this awesome Arctic fox created by Ava T.  I can see she has really taken her time to carefully make it and he looks so cute – I love it!  Thank you for sharing this with us Ava.

Goodness me! What a totally adorable polar bear… he looks so cute and cuddly!  I can see that Neve has worked so hard to make this bear and she should be very proud as he looks fabulous.  Well done Neve and thanks for sharing!

These amazing Arctic animals have been created by Noah and his younger brother, Luca.  It is clear to see that both boys have taken their time to carefully glue the cotton wool onto their animals.  Thank you for sharing them boys!

How cute are this pair? Wow!  These magnificent animals have been created by Phoebe and as you can see she has done a brilliant job.  I never thought of using cotton wool pads to make the Arctic fox, but I think I may try this myself.  Look how carefully she has coloured in the penguin –  it must have taken her a great deal of time and patience.  Phoebe has name the Arctic fox Sam and the penguin Henry, both names are ‘cool’.

Look at these amazing Antarctic and Arctic plates created by Humphrey – they are fantastic!  As you can see, he has spent time researching both areas before designing his plates – what a wonderful idea.  All his hard work has paid off because the results are fab.  Thank you for sharing these Humphrey.

Florence has been working so hard on this ‘mini  Antarctica and Arctic’ project.  As you can see, she has found out lots of interesting  information about both of these regions and then turned to her impressive art skills to produce this amazing paper plate. The plate has been divided in two to show the north and south poles and the animals that live there.  Wow, Florence, your hard work was worth it because this is fantastic!

Wow!  This super, cute polar bear was carefully made by Sofia.  She has given him lovely pink ears and covered him with soft cotton wool balls. He is totally adorable, thanks for sharing Sofia!

I absolutely adore this penguin made by Grace.  He looks so cute and it has been painted very well. Thank you Grace!

Wow! These stunning paper plates have been beautifully created by Poppy (Year 5).  As you can see she has spent a great deal of time on these two plates and I love the way they show the same scene in daytime and at sunset.  This just shows the artistic flair that Poppy has, as it is tricky to create the same scene but at different times.  Well done Poppy and thanks for sharing!

Seren (Year 6) is the first one to make something out of foil…Her name.  Thank you Seren.

These sisters have been busy this afternoon with the Fun with Foil activity. Aurora (yr 4) has made a monkey swinging on a bar and Raffaella has made a token with the letter R – and painted in glitter glue!

Now you can see Luke and Faith’s creations together…I wonder if any jewellery from the Titanic ended up in that treasure chest?

Aimee Best has created a superb slide out of foil, which is great.

Sofia Smy has made a person out of tin foil, I think it is fabulous and she has got the proportions of the body just right!

Islwyn linked this fabulous foil creation to his year 6 writing task of a ‘busy place’  and re-created his H0018 cub camp. The campsite is complete with a campfire, tents and a yurt!

Mostyn  made this amazing piece of jewellery out of foil  and linked it to his to his Year 3 Roman topic and made a ‘Bulla’ Roman  necklace.   Thank you to these brothers for taking a great deal of time to create these masterpieces.

Wow!  What wonderful creations from Alana and Amelia Do’urden.  These foil Medallions are fantastic. Alana’s has her initials and a heart, while Amelia drew an A and some hearts.  They look so lovely – well done girls.

Look at this ‘Eggscellent’ Easter basket that Monique has made out of foil – it is absolutely fantastic.  I may ‘magpie’ this idea myself and make foil Easter baskets for my family.  Thanks for the fab idea Monique!

Oh my goodness…. these three brothers have been busy.  Check out these wonderful foil creations:

George has made a brilliant foil running trophy… it looks like they are running a relay and passing the baton.

Henry has made a badge with his initial ‘H’ on it and has also made a foil fight scene, with a referee to make sure things don’t get too out of hand!

William  has made a foil Roman soldier and coloured it in so carefully.

This is another fabulous foil creation by Faith.  This time she has made a fantastic pendant with her initial ‘F’ on it…   I wonder if she found it in the treasure chest she made earlier in the week?
