In English, they have been learning about features of a newspaper report in preparation for writing their own newspaper reports about the wreck of the Zanzibar.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For homework the children have 6 spellings using the \u2018ible\u2019 and able\u2019 letter patterns, Mymaths and they need to complete another section from the homework pyramid. This homework is due by next Friday (26<sup>th<\/sup> May). Children are more than welcome to bring their homework in early if they have completed it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This week Eva Townsin (5E) received the golden leaf award for \u2018using the gifts God gave her to work really hard even when there are distractions\u2019 and Freddie Dunaway (5E) has his writing displayed on the showstoppers wall. George Crocker (5F) received the golden leaf award for \u2018using the gifts God gave him to work hard in improving his handwriting skills\u2019.
