For R.E. we have looked at why some Christians go on pilgrimage, creating a leaflet to explain what pilgrimage is, why Christians might go on a pilgrimage and some information about Lourdes, France.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #3366ff\"><strong><em><u>Home Learning:<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><u>Half term homework<\/u><\/p>\n<p>Over the half term you need to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Complete the extreme sports planning sheet, ready for the first week back <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">(Thursday 4<sup>th<\/sup> November)<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Continue to read Letters from the Lighthouse \u2013 our aim is to finished by the end of the first week back (this ticks off one of your Reading Passport reads)<\/li>\n<li>Continue to read a Year 5 Must Read book<\/li>\n<li>See if you can tick off one of the smaller reads from your Reading Passport, such as a poem\/ news article\/ book of your choice<\/li>\n<li>Continue to practise your multiplication facts.<\/li>\n<li>Collect resources wanted\/ needed for building your sustainability house.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><em><u>**Reminders:<\/u><\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>First week back is Week 2 \u2013<span style=\"color: #3366ff\"> P.E. kits<\/span> need to be worn on <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Wednesday 3<sup>rd<\/sup> November.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Reply slips for the trip to <span style=\"color: #3366ff\">Fort Nelson<\/span> need to be returned by <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">Monday 15th November.<\/span><\/li>\n<li>Please return any slips if you are able to help on the<span style=\"color: #3366ff\"> family STEM day<\/span>, on the <span style=\"color: #ff0000\">11<sup>th<\/sup> November.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Have a fabulous half term,<\/p>\n<p>The Year 5 Team<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week, in maths, we have been dividing using grouping and a formal method and in English we have planned and written our sensory descriptions based on the book \u2018The Day War Came\u2019.
