Here\u2019s a quick round up of what we have been learning this week in Year 4\u2026<\/p>\n
In Maths we have\u00a0been continuing with our unit on multiplication and division. We\u2019re relying heavily on our times tables knowledge, so thank you to all of you have been busy practising in light of parents\u2019 evening targets. We have learnt how to use the grid method alongside number lines to solve tricky 2 digit by 1 digit multiplication problems such as 46 x 7.<\/p>\n
In English we have been exploring the features of explanation texts. The children have been generating content and vocabulary to include in their own explanation text, ‘How to look after a snowman’. This has included doing a science investigation and some drama.<\/p>\n
In RE we have just started our unit on Advent by looking at our own family trees. We thought about how our families have shaped who we are.\u00a0 This relates to\u00a0 the Jesse Tree, which is Jesus’s family tree. We look forward to presenting the work we have been doing at the Advent service on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
