Think about how Jesus would have felt in the Wilderness and how this helped him get closer to God.<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Phonics<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Miss Smillie\u2019s Phonics Group \u2013 Find words ending in \u2018ing\u2019 and explore the three rules to add the suffix \u2018ing\u2019 to a word.<\/p>\n<p>1) Taking off the \u2018e\u2019 e.g. love-loving, take-taking.<\/p>\n<p>2) Doubling the consonant e.g. hop-hopping, sit-sitting.<\/p>\n<p>3) Adding an \u2018ing\u2019 e.g. play-playing, say-saying.<\/p>\n<p>Miss Hele\u2019s\/ Mrs Wickes\u2019 Phonics Group- Find words with the \/ow\/ sound spelt \u2018ow\u2019, \u2018ou\u2019 and \u2018ough\u2019. Remember words are always spelt with \u2018ow\u2019 when followed by an \u2018n\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>Miss Stinton\u2019s Phonics Group- Practice spelling the tricky words: many, any, different, eyes, friends and laughed. Can you spot them in your reading books?<\/p>\n<p><b><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Maths<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Choose two numbers like <b>9<\/b> and <b>15<\/b>.
