Hello everyone,<\/div>\n
We are missing you all so much here at st Peter’s. Hope you are all still enjoying your time at home. I’ve really loved seeing all tour lovely work on the art blog they are fantastic well done. This week at my home we have had lots of fun in the garden, the boys have spent hours playing on the slip and slide which is lots of fun. We have also done some school learning and for maths we have used lego bricks to make tens and ones and added them together to make a higher number. We also played bingo with some tricky words to help remember them. Hope to see you all again soon.<\/div>\n

Hello everyone.\u00a0 I am keeping busy at home. This week I have used up some more of my rhubarb to make chutney which is yummy! We decorated our house for VE day and had a VE day tea in our garden. I have also had my hair cut! As you know I have very short hair and it was getting so long I finally decied it had to come off! We used some clippers and my youngest daughter gave me a fab hair cut! It is now very short but I like it! The picture below also shows the lovely roses that have appeared outside my front door. They make me feel very happy!<\/div>\n
I do hope that you are all keeping safe and still enjoying this special time at home with your families.<\/div>\n

I had a lovely weekend. My family and I celebrated VE day with a picnic in our garden. We made finger sandwiches, quiche and scones. My favourite sandwiches were\u00a0 ham and mustard. They were delicious! Mr Layton painted our summer house on Saturday whilst I planted some flowers. Our garden is looking really colourful. My kitten loved watching me, I hope she doesn’t dig my plants up! I hope you enjoyed your weekend too.<\/div>\n

Hello year 1. I hope you are all ok. I have been into school a few times this week for the children of key workers. We have been doing phonics and some lovely art work. The children enjoyed painting pebbles with positive messages. Perhaps you could find a pebble in your garden and try this at home! Here is our home learning for the week including our weekly family science activity and music exploration. We so hope that you enjoy this learning together. We are looking forward to seeing the castles you have made! May we take this opportunity to say that there is no need to complete all of the learning below! In this weeks sequence of lessons you will be learning about the story of \u2018The Tiger Who Came To Tea<\/strong>.\u2019 You will be doing some phonics focusing on the sound ee (feet), ea (tea)<\/strong> and y (happy)<\/strong> as well as some spellings linked to the story.<\/p>\n

On day 1 you will be predicting the story, day 2 committing the story to memory and drawing a story map, day 3 identifying and writing questions (revisiting skills we have learnt in class), day 4 and 5 starting and completing writing a story.<\/p>\n

If it is a bit tricky or moves too fast for your child just focus on the key phonics being taught, or one version of the sound that your child knows e.g. ee<\/strong>, and on verbally retelling the story and writing some simple sentences or key words. Maybe you could just work on one day of the online learning? Do what you feel your child can cope with. At the very least you can enjoy listening to the story on you tube.<\/p>\n
