{"id":1036,"date":"2020-04-03T13:25:04","date_gmt":"2020-04-03T13:25:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.stpeterswaterlooville.co.uk\/art\/?p=1036"},"modified":"2020-04-04T14:35:58","modified_gmt":"2020-04-04T14:35:58","slug":"holy-week-and-easter-art-challenge","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.stpeterswaterlooville.co.uk\/art\/2020\/04\/03\/holy-week-and-easter-art-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Holy Week and Easter Art Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>May I start by saying a huge thank you to everyone who has sent me pictures of your art and craft activities.\u00a0 I have really enjoyed looking at each and every one.\u00a0 If you haven&#8217;t already, please take a moment to look through the posts so that you can see what your friends have been up to.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>I have set out a list of art ideas that you can do over the next two weeks.\u00a0 It could be that you prefer to come up with your own idea or want to do something that another Year group is doing &#8211; that would be absolutely fine.\u00a0 The most important thing is that you have fun doing something creative.\u00a0 Feel free to encourage other family members to get involved too.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Holy Week:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This is a real challenge:\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Draw an event from Holy week in the style of a famous Artist.\u00a0 You have to let me know the inspiration that you used, with a sentence or two.\u00a0 It could be in the style of Lowry or Munch, both artists we have studied this year, <em>or<\/em> your favourite artist, such as Van Gogh or Monet.\u00a0 You can get inspiration from the internet or a family bible with pictures.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 5<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Holy Week<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Use Street Art to represent one aspect of Holy week.\u00a0 It could be \u2018Hosanna\u2019 when the crowds were for Jesus or \u2018Crucify Him\u2019 as the crowd turned against Him. Alternatively, it could be \u2018Do this in memory of me\u2019. If you prefer, you can do a thought provoking picture\/image in the style of Street Art.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 4<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Palm Sunday or Good Friday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Create a drawing or painting of either Palm Sunday or Good Friday in the style of Vincent Van Gogh, as he is one of the artists we have studied this year. For example, think of one of his famous painting, such as Starry, Starry night, and use this as inspiration for your own picture.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leonardo Da Vinci did a famous painting of The Last Supper. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1037 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.stpeterswaterlooville.co.uk\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2020\/04\/The-Last-Supper-Restored-Da-Vinci_32x16-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"416\" height=\"208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blog.stpeterswaterlooville.co.uk\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2020\/04\/The-Last-Supper-Restored-Da-Vinci_32x16-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blog.stpeterswaterlooville.co.uk\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2020\/04\/The-Last-Supper-Restored-Da-Vinci_32x16-768x384.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blog.stpeterswaterlooville.co.uk\/art\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/22\/2020\/04\/The-Last-Supper-Restored-Da-Vinci_32x16.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 416px) 100vw, 416px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Can you draw, colour or paint you own Last Supper picture?\u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Draw or paint a scene from Good Friday.\u00a0 You can take inspiration from one of the pictures you find on the internet, or use your own imagination. Try to use either pointillism, Pop Art or a combination of the two.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Year 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Make a cross to symbolise Good Friday.\u00a0 It can be done in a variety of ways: either by drawing or painting, using pastels, or make a collage cross using a variety of materials.
